Sex is binary. That is biology, not politics.
Humans produce two gamete types and no third. Disorders of sexual development are variations on a dimorphic plan, in the way polydactyly is a variation on five fingers — they do not establish a third sex. None of this becomes more or less true when an administration changes, and it does not require a government to confirm it.
Two things follow that are routinely collapsed together and should not be. Gender dysphoria is a coded diagnosis — a fact about the diagnostic manual, not an opinion about it. And it has nothing to do with who anyone wants to sleep with; orientation and identity are separate axes, and most arguments on this subject conflate them.
What changed since Block Ø is the wording, not the position. “Two genders” is an argument about what a word denotes. “Two sexes” is an argument about biology — and that is the one worth having.
