Guten Group US operates the Seekers Almanac and the Portal. This page says plainly what happens to your information. It is short because the answer is short.

What is collected when you sign in. The Portal has no password. You sign in with Google or Apple, and the only thing that reaches us is what that sign-in hands over: your email address, your name if your account publishes one, and your profile picture if it has one. We never see your Google or Apple password, and we cannot act on your account with either company.

What is collected while you use it. The questions you put to the corpus, the answers that come back, and the threads and projects you organise them into. That is the product working — a question you asked last month is only there next month because it was stored.

Where it is stored. In a database operated by Supabase in the United States, under an account belonging to Guten Group US. Rows are scoped to the account that created them, and the server will not return one account’s rows to another. Questions are sent to a language model provider to be answered; they are not sent with your name or email attached.

What is never done with it. Your information is not sold. It is not traded, rented, or handed to a data broker. It is not used to build an advertising profile of you. There is no advertising on the Portal at all.

What you can ask for. Write to daniel@guten.group and ask what is held about you, or ask for it to be deleted. Deletion means deletion: the account, the threads, the questions, the lot. There is no retention period we are clinging to.

Cookies. The Portal keeps one thing in your browser: the session that proves you are signed in. No tracking cookies, no analytics pixels, no third-party tags.

Changes. If this changes materially, the change gets written into the Almanac like any other position, with the date on it — not slipped into a document nobody reads.
